AI Mock Interview

A mock interview that actually pushes back

Most mock interview tools record your answer and score it. Knoka responds to it — following up when you're vague, asking for specifics when your story is thin, and keeping the pressure on like a real interviewer would.

What is an AI mock interview?

An AI mock interview is a practice session where you answer interview questions out loud and an AI evaluates your responses. The goal is to simulate the real experience closely enough that your performance in practice predicts your performance in the actual interview.

Most tools do the basics: they give you a question, listen to your answer, and give you a score. Some add transcription or word-level feedback.

What almost none of them do is what a real interviewer does: respond to what you specifically said. Ask what your role was when you say “we.” Request the outcome when you skip it. Push harder when the answer feels rehearsed but thin.

The problem with one-way mock interviews

You can revise mid-answer

When you record a mock, you know you can stop and retry. Real interviews don't work that way. The pressure of an irreversible answer is what makes interviews hard — and it's exactly what recording-based tools remove.

There's no follow-up

The hardest part of most interviews isn't the opening question — it's the follow-up. "Can you be more specific?" "What was your role exactly?" "What would you do differently?" These are where candidates lose composure. They're also what most mock tools never simulate.

Feedback on delivery isn't feedback on content

Knowing you said "um" eleven times is useful. Knowing your STAR structure collapsed in the middle, or that you never quantified the result, or that you described team work without clarifying your ownership — that's what actually costs you the offer.

How Knoka mock interviews work

Knoka is a voice AI that interviews you in real-time two-way conversation. You don't record and submit — you talk, and it talks back.

01

Choose your interview type

Behavioral, recruiter screen, offer negotiation. Pick the format that matches what you're preparing for.

02

Answer out loud

Knoka asks the question and listens. When you finish, it responds — not with the next scripted question, but based on what you actually said.

03

Get structured feedback

After the session, you get a full breakdown: STAR structure quality, ownership language, answer conciseness, and specific moments to revisit.
